GRAPHIC JOURNALISM
Politics, human rights and current affairs told through the language of comics.
With a background in Political Science and more than twenty years of professional experience as an illustrator and cartoonist, Christian combines research, synthesis and visual storytelling to create comics exploring political, social and environmental issues. He works in English, Italian and Spanish.
His work has been commissioned by publishers, universities and international organizations, including The Open University, the Université catholique de Louvain and the Argentine association Familiares de Desaparecidos y Detenidos por Razones Políticas.
ART AGAINST DISINFORMATION
A project by the Open University and King's College London exploring the role of graphic journalism in communicating academic research. Six international editorial cartoonists were selected to collaborate with researchers and transform complex social issues into accessible visual stories. Christian Mirra's comic was selected as the opening piece of the exhibition.

DESTINAZIONE ROSARNO
Short story combining fiction with journalistic research to tell the story of one of Sudan's Lost Boys as he journeys to the orange groves of Rosarno, in southern Italy. The comic explores migration, war, racism and labour exploitation through a narrative grounded in historical context and factual research.
